Candace Teague
My father was truly one of a kind and forever my all time favorite person. He was so funny, so silly, and could tell some of the greatest stories that would have everyone laughing for hours. One thing about my daddy he absolutely loved to cook. Cooking was more than something he did, it was his love language. He made sure everyone was fed, loved, and comfortable. I even remember when I was younger, he would knock on the neighbors’ doors just to make sure they had food too. That was the kind of heart he had.
His love for cooking inspired me to buy him chef attire that he absolutely loved, and I even decorated his kitchen because I wanted the place where he poured so much love into others through his meals to feel just as special as he was. Seeing him happy made me happy.
My father was also incredibly talented with his hands. He could build things, fix things, teach us things, and always wanted his children to become the best versions of ourselves. He poured so much wisdom, love, humor, and life into all of us.
What made our bond even more special is that we shared the same birthday, something I will forever hold close to my heart. I will always feel deeply connected to him because our bond was rare, beautiful, and unbreakable.
Daddy, I love you beyond this lifetime. Thank you for every lesson, every laugh, every meal, every story, and every moment of love. I will forever miss you, cherish you, and carry you with me always.
Love always,
Your daughter, Candice 🤍🕊️
