How we met over 40 plus years ago will always hold a very special place in my heart. You were a great father to our children and a great friend to me. Your love, attentiveness and affection towards me and others were unwavering.

My fondest memories of my uncle Bob were, first him whispering in my ear, “ You know you’re my favorite niece, don’t you tell your sisters that I said that”.
And then of him coming down the street after work , it was like watching a scene in the movie where the star is being greeted by everyone on the block as he passed by, I’d run up with my hand stretched out and he would start digging in his pockets and say “ I’ll watch you to the snow cone man”.
My heart is so full yet it is so empty now Uncle Bob, love you
Your favorite niece, Daphne

Thank you for always being Uncle Bob.....

My Uncle Bob was the best driver. He worked for the State of IL. Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance. He drove that truck like it was his 1975 mustang.
Uncle Bob,
Today we honor a man who was so much more than an uncle. He was a friend who listened, always providing his 2 cents. He was a father figure guiding us with patience and a steady presence. He showed up when it mattered most. He had a way of making you feel safe, valued and understood. He was a Master Driver that taught me to always look ahead of the traffic. His life was a lesson in showing love through actions. My uncle was just that guy whatever “Right Here and Thang” is, I am grateful for the memories. You will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.
Love always,
Susette- Big John

My Daddy used to tell me I was his favorite daughter although I’m his only daughter…LOL
